HAYDEN SMITH
Senior Minister
Hayden and his wife Libby have four characterful kids. Libby works as a midwife. Hayden loves people, rugby, cycling, and breakfast. The Smith family moved to Glenhaven in 2019 and absolutely love it.
Having trained at Youthworks College and Moore College, Hayden has worked in parish ministry across Sydney for more than twenty years. Hayden loves the opportunity to serve people of every age. He has particular responsibilities for teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, leading the Ministry Staff Team, and setting the spiritual direction for our Emmanuel Church Family.

Hayden also serves as the Parish Chaplain at
Glenhaven Green Retirement Village.
PAUL GAETJENS
Senior Assistant Minister
Paul, his wife Zoe, and their three children, are very recent additions to Glenhaven and the staff team at Emmanuel. Paul is a regular preacher at our services, and is responsible for ensuring everything runs smoothly and effectively! He works particularly closely with music teams, growth groups and Sunday services, as well as supporting the Youth and Children’s ministry teams. Paul loves holidaying at the snow, following random sports (eg College Football), and spending time at the beach with his family (including their tiny dog, Wicket). Paul trained at Youthworks College and Ridley College, and would love to see many people come to know how great Jesus is!

Paul also serves as an Honorary Chaplain for the Hills District Police Area Command.
ELISE PATON
Youth & Children's Minister
Elise grew up in Sydney's North. Through her local church kids' ministry, she found out about Jesus and put her faith in him. After training as a paramedic, God had other plans in mind and Elise began training for ministry with children and young people at Youthworks College. After serving with kids and youth for five years in the Sutherland Shire, Elise joined Emmanuel Church in 2024. She's loving the semi-rural vibe and is open to joining a soccer team if anyone has a spot going!
NIKKI CARGILL
Assistant Minister | Chaplaincy, Glenhaven Green
Emmanuel Church works in partnership with Anglicare's Glenhaven Green Village: providing pastoral and practical support to the residents. Nikki is married to David and they have three
young adult sons. She is passionate about helping people come to a real and living faith in Christ.
You can find Nikki at Glenhaven Green Village through the week and at Emmanuel Church on Sunday mornings.
